These are WWII manufactured ammunition pouches for use on web belts. They are designed to hold the 15 round mags for the M1 carbine. This particular type of pouch was made with a very wide belt loop. Soldiers in the field sometimes used these by sliding them over their stock so they would have ammunition close by. They have a snap on the back. These were made in 1943 by different sub-contractors for the US Military. They are in USED/ISSUED condition and most appear well worn. Some have light verdigris on the snaps and metal. Others have some stenciling on the inside or back placed there by the military. PLEASE LOOK AT THE PICTURES FOR AN IDEA OF THE CONDITION OF THESE POUCHES. See Also |
