These M1 Carbine stocks are government contract replacement stocks made by the Springfield Armory in 1966. They have never been used, and are taken from the original boxes labeled by the Springfield Armory. These are the exact stocks that were used at the various rebuild facilities to bring M1 carbines back up to military specifications.
These M1 carbine stocks are made of beautiful Birch. They are stamped with the letters “SA” on the top at the front by the barrel channel. There are no cracks splits or repairs, however there may be some slight rub marks on the side from being in the boxes together. The stocks have no finish (never have) except a brown stain so I would suggest coating them with pure tung oil or the finish of your choice.
These M1 carbine stocks include the recoil plate!
The original recoil plate is already installed by the factory and has had a VCI paper covering them in the box to prevent moisture damage.
Dont settle for aftermarket stocks that arn't made well and dont fit properly. Accuracy is very dependant on how the stock fits on an M1 carbine. This is a rare oppurtunity to get an ORIGINAL USGI stock that meets Military specifications for fit and finish, and has never been used!
