Made by Overton. New, old stock.
These M1 Carbine stocks are government contract replacement stocks made by the Overton Company in 1970. They have never been used, and are taken from the original sealed boxes labeled by Overton. These are the exact stocks that were used at the various rebuild facilities to bring M1 carbines back up to military specifications. These M1 carbine stocks are made of beautiful Birch. They have no stampings or markings. There are no cracks splits or repairs as they are new, however there may be some slight rub marks on the side from being in the boxes together. These M1 carbine stocks include the recoil plate! The original recoil plate is already installed by the factory and has had a VCI paper covering them in the box to prevent moisture damage. They are very dry and appear "chalky" looking. That is the VCI pwder. A little oil cleans them right up. Dont settle for aftermarket stocks that arn't made well and dont fit properly. Accuracy is very dependant on how the stock fits on an M1 carbine. This is an amazing oppurtunity to get an ORIGINAL USGI stock that meets Military specifications for fit and finish, and has never been used! Check these items out also |
